Film Comparison

Clueless:- This film had many sub settings such as the party and the street
- This film was very dramatic and over the top
- Had 9 main characters
- Included common events and was a common storyline
- Was made in the 90's, 1995
- Theme of popularity
- Scenes kept changing (many settings)
- Jealousy, driving, sexuality
- Virginity was a good thing
- Issues was superficial
- The time period was several weeks

The Breakfast Club:- Detention, which is the only place and event that happened in the film (one setting)
- Had rare events and was a very rare storyline
- They had 5 main characters
- It had many sub settings within the main setting such as in front of the school, the gymnasium, the basement, the faculty room, the corridors and the oval
- Some of the music was used for emotions and sometimes to cover up swear words
- The time period was only on a Saturday
- Made in the 80's, 1985
- Virginity was a bad thing
- Anger
- Characters were from different social groups
- The characters were more deeper and there was more to them
- Family backgrounds
- Reputations
- Bullying
- Issues were deeper

Similarities:- Both were set at a high school
- Drugs and sex
- Had music that suited the time of when the movie was made and was relevant
- Both showed different stereotypes
- Both films developed relationships
- Were filmed in America
- Involved family issues and friendship issues
- Had a theme of love, stereotypes, relationships and friendships
- Friendships developed
- The music genre was mostly rock/pop
- Teen movies
- Social groups
- Casual Clothing
- Personal Problems
- Fitting in
- Make overs
